About : John Dzilvelis
My journey in data systems started over 30 years ago while I was working my way through college, developing a desktop data management system to monitor manufacturing costs.
Since then, I've landed on some significant career stepping stones along the way to grow my skills in database administration, development, and architecture. My positions have spanned various senior roles such as architect, engineer, administrator, and director, where I've also mentored teams of administrators and engineers.
Now, I am fortunate to be working on my own as a freelancer serving clients throughout the United States. As a measure of my success, I am a "Top Rated Plus" freelancer on the Upwork marketplace with a 100% job success score.
My recent work includes infrastructure automation, cloud development, business continuity/disaster recovery, data lake development, data systems monitoring, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development and orchestration, and the development of Data Governance systems. In recent years, I've worked at notable companies such as Maxar Technologies, WPP/Wunderman Thompson, and Wiland, Inc.
I live with my family in Broomfield, Colorado, and enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking throughout our state.
